Rec Poster Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: New Jersey | Thinking of dipping a toe in the CCM waters and I have some questions :)
I'm a Palmer enthusiast and to this day I swear by them, but I do like what people are saying about the CCM markers and I was thinking of adding one to the old arsenal. I was wondering if all you good people could answer some questions about them? Primarily, I'm curious if they work well on CO2. If so, how are they with liquid CO2? How is Chipley machine in general? Are they pretty responsive to customer inquiries? For example, one of the reasons I like Palmer markers so much (aside from the fact that they are awesome), is that if I contact PPS, I always get a quick, courteous and helpful response... Are parts relative easily to find? What sort of threads do their barrels use? Thank you all in advance ![]() |

Chipley does not recommend CO2. Their customer service is super responsive. Parts are readily available from their Ebay store and they make many options. They are all Autococker threaded barrels. Gilly

No clue about the CO2, but I can personally vouch for their customer support. I've has issues in the past, and they were taken care of immediately and beyond any practical expection I could've had. I'm super lucky to be in a position where I have easy access to a multitude of pump guns and products for the genre. In many ways I'm a pump snob and I choose to shoot CCM's. |

Customer service is top notch and if your going to run CO2 you could always swap CCM's reg for a Stab and use an anti siphon tank. I've never run this set-up on a CCM marker though so I don't know what success you would have.

LoLs you snob Shiba. I know when I took my J2L to Costa Rica I was forced do use CO2. She leaked badly from all the macro fittings right away. Luckily I brought teflon tape and resealed them all. That never happened with compressed air and I imagine my marker went thru some valve adjusting to handle the change. CCM's were designed to run on LP regulated air. I wont use any other brand when it matters most. Gilly

Haha, pump snob, I like that. I guess I fell in that hole too, love my CCM's and I don't like shooting anything else better. They will run on co2, but they are not designed to. Since your a big Palmers fan, and want a CCM for Co2, I recommend picking up a Palmers male stab, and a Palmers LT valve and putting it in the CCM and springing it accordingly and it should be a dreamboat of a Co2 powered gun, I would love to build something like this. I have been wanting to turn one of my SS25's into a VSC gun w/ 12g changer vettically. |

Post Whore Join Date: Sep 2006 | You know how it is. ![]() I think we've both been pretty lucky for the associations we've built within the industry going back 20+ years. Right now all my pump guns have the markings of: Duck Works, Carter Machine, or CCM. Heck I was on Team America and I have no WGP products in my pump quiver. ![]() |
