Hey Ben,

You want to do some photography for an updated Manual for the S6.5?

Yeah, I can help with that. What shots do you need?

When you are ready to maintain it and take it apart - take pics of the process.

You know what my manuals look like I am sure - so I would need pics of the process of dissasembly of the main body of the marker.

I don't need the reg, frame, or ASA to be disassembled as those have not changed - but simply pics of dissasembly of the main body of the marker itself, down to the valve (in other words - you don't need to take out the valve).

If you use a wrench or take out a part - take a picture of it - and I can sort through them and use what I need. I will give full credit to you and a link to your website in the manual if you want.

I've played a couple times with the S6.5 now, and I really love it. The 45 frame with the Hogues was definitely the right choice for me. The gun shoots perfectly, and the halfblock style is great. It is just that extra little bit that was missing from my S6 and prevented that from being my perfect pump.

I am really happy with the new regulator design that allows the reg to be removed without taking off the frame or macro fitting. Due to this I have the fitting straight back, and I have it paired with the POPS for a perfectly symmetrical feel. The POPS is a great ASA as always. Very easy and quick to use and the front macro fitting is great.

I have used both the 14" Deadlywind barrel and the 12" CCM barrel. Both had 0.679" sizers that fit the Marbs I was shooting fairly well (no roll outs, not overly tight). They both shot great. I like how sleek the CCM barrel looks, but I found it was more natural to aim down the 14" barrel (all of my other guns have 14" barrels).

The only disappointing thing I have run into so far is that one of my detent cover screws is stuck! I went to clean my gun and one side came out just fine. When I tried to turn the allen key on the other side it just spun! Little to no resistance at all. Screw does not move a bit. The head of the screw does not look damaged and I have tried 2 different allen keys (including a brand new one).

I'm not sure if it is actually stripped, or if the tiny screw heads just have enough variation that the allen key cannot provide enough force to remove it. It certainly looks to me like there are still flat surfaces for the allen key to work against. It definitely does not look like it has been fully rounded out, but it feels like it is.

Any suggestions on getting the screw out without mangling my gun?

should be easy with a Grabbit Micro set or even a small enough screw extractor. hey if I could get the bolt sled torx off of my t2 then it should be easier to pull that screw off the open, flat side of your s6.5

Good luck with that screw, Ben!

So looks like you got the wide 45 frame? How does it compare to the width of the Geo grip? I also shoot a Geo, and picking the frame width has been the one part of my T2 ordering process that I'm most unsure of. Seems like the thin one might feel strange, but on the other hand I'm a big fan of shaving off weight.
