Full auto S6.5!!!!

So after getting my 6.5 this week i ended up playing in a tourney and found out something wierd. Apparently there i such a thing as having too light of a pump stroke. between the lack of weight in the CF pump handle and the super light springs in the gun, The recoil is enough to recock the gun. intermittantly it would shoot 2-3 balls with one trigger pull. I was using a revy, so i think if i put my prophecy on it i can shoot longer strings. Video to come!!

linky

I give up on trying to imbed it

Sounds like you like to take your hand off the pump handle and onto the regulator.

Nothing new here.. The trade off is you are getting low velocity

Low velocity might be a factor if you do not adjust your lug/AT
properly. If it is set correctly who knows...

Actually the gun hadn't been touched, brand new from ccm, and it was shooting 279+-3 it was fine in the beginning of the day but then i think as the springs broke in a little it started happening. I will show the chrono in the video. The solution is a stiffer return spring. i put my prophecy on it and it made it alot harded to pump. because when i pumped it forward it had to push the stack back up into the feedneck.

No it will always be a factor.. if you chrono properly holding the pump handle forward there is no way you will get a higher velocity when the bolt is being kicked back instantly as that takes inertia away from the ball. No way around it.

Its really more of a trigger bouce, the video of the chrono didnt come out well so i cut it for size reasons. But it was 276, 275 ,278 without holding the handle. Funny with the 5 pumps ive played with in the past month, 3 of them shot hotter without holding the pump handle, including this 6.5, when holding the handle its in the 250s

apparently im video imbedding silly

This is common. You can actually do this with nearly all of the CCM's. Put a swab in the barrel (no paint) hold the barrel down, pull the trigger and hold the trigger. It will usually auto trigger until you let go. The CF pump makes it easier due to less reciprocal mass.

Well then chrono it without holding the pump handle...
Quite devious...
