Grip questions

Will standard wrap around grips fit the thin 45 frame or do you need special grips?

Also does anyone know of a common gun that uses 68 grips, I'd like to see how they feel before I place an order but I don't know anyone that uses them.

The fit - they are just a bit... odd.

What do you mean by odd? Do they stick out?

I've heard they bunch up around the front of the trigger frame. ( where your midle, ring, pinky fingers go)

That's what I was afraid of. Guess I'll be getting the normal 45 grips then. Although I'd still like to try out 68 grips and see how comfortable they are. Just not willing to take the chance considering how much it would cost to change them later if I don't like it.

They do bunch up a bit - but I used a set of Hybrid wraparounds and loved the fit and feel. I don't see it really being an issue.

I've had wrap arounds on my thin 45 frame for over a year now.

They do work. But that's only because I'm not a big fan of the thin 45... Not sure why... Just a personal preference thing. The wrap around grips gave me that extra surface area I needed, and played all last year in the NPPL with my gun like that.

It's not bad. Yes there is extra room, and at first seems every odd, but I got used to them real quick.

If you haven't ordered, and you want wrap around style grips, go with the thick 45...

since you are looking to try one you should know that 86 frames are also very thin. however, if you get the chance to try it out and the only thing you don't like about them is the thinness, pillage on here makes some awesome wood grips that fill it out very nicely. I was iffy about my 86 frame when I first got it, but now I have 86 frames on two of my markers w/ his grips.

Here's what I did to get around the thin frames:

These System X grips really beefed things up.

system x grips are awesome, too bad they are so hard to find

another thing you can do to reduce the extra material on the front, is add some peices of plastic between the frame and the grips,, then you get the width of the thick frame with the weight of the this frame

also about the 86 being thin, pick up some hogue grips for a CZ-75 it wont be thin any more
