Good point and you are right about safety , but I rarely run low on air - usually paint runs out first , usually run a 68/45 or 50/45 now a days .

In my opinion the CCM line is efficient enough that being a little off the sweet spot has very little effect in the long run.

I set mine to a preset that I know works for me in my climate. That is generally around 300 PSI input - a little more or a little less depending on the marker. However, they are set at the factory at 350 and I have had little problem with that setting as well.

I would rather have a little softer touch on the ball than efficiency at some point as I want to shoot the most fragile paint I can. One ball has to count.

At a +/-3fps range, I'd leave it. You're likely to make it worse then spend hours chasing it back to where you started. You can get it a little lower, but is it worth possibly spending hours on?
