In the paintball world, yes all 45 grips/frames (that I'm aware of) are based on John Brownings original 1911. Real guns now have different sizes, but paintball is pretty standardized.

Hey Bertz, would you like to share your CAD drawing of those 45 grips? I'm not meaning the design on it, just the basic shape of the panels in CAD. As a fellow CNC machinist i'd love to make some too! Maybe swap some designs?

I believe i've PM-ed you on that Ego 11 regulator that came with your T2.. Well, i'm working on these babies right now:

pic is quite large

Thanks, but that is just an image of the outline of 45 grips... I was hoping for something in the form of .DXF, .DWG, .STEP or .SLDPRT (solidworks part file)

I do most of my CAD in solidworks, unfortunatly there are no options for CAM in that package, but i also do alot of 2D CAM with Cimco edit 6.0 and for the 3D stuff i can ask at work (Edgecam)

Thank you

Anyone tell me if the 86 grips have a beveled (angled) edge on the left side of the grip , seen a few types so unsure .
Another had a finger grove and are raised in the middle.

I believe the newest style has the back edge with a quarter round edge. Previous versions had the roundover as well as a thumb groove.

I'm pretty sure I have both styles if you want pictures I can take some when I get home from work.

If you don't mind that would be great, thank you

I'm more interested in the newer style, due to having to place a image on them
