First off, a HUGE thanks to Bill for making this build possible. I owe you one buddy.

Hope you all like it. I have tinkered with it on and off for the last year. It is a quad rod Sanchez SM1. Used a mini main guide rod, and a slightly ground teardrop to make it all work.

What needed to be ground and why? My impression is the SM-1 is a Karnivor front end, so any Karnivor strategy should work?

And by the way, nice build. My son is a fan of the SM-1, has three of them.

I don't know what CCM calls them, but I know them as the teardrop. It is the part that goes between the main guide rod and the body and holds the secondary guide rod. A S6/6.5 or T2 won't have one since the VASA hlds the second guide rod.

And yes, a Karni front block will fit one. They are very similar. But they are not identical. If you look closely at the first picture, you can see where it is ground away some on the tear drop. Even with the relieved JOLE teardrop that clears on a normal Karni FB, there wasn't enough space to keep from hitting on the front block. I can take a better pic this evening when I get home.

Thank you all for your compliments.

EDIT:
Here, hopefully this will help show what I am talking about.

I thought of doing that with the one I owned but didn't want to putz with the dual arms. Seemed like a pain to get set right
