J12 what happened

I was following the J12 when they were new, and the next time I checked they aren't going to be made. It seemed like the natural evolution of the sheridan pumper, so why is CCM still making things that are only a step away from an autococker, and not a bunch of j12s?

I do want to be clear that we are not abandoning the J12. We just need more time to resolve the issues of machine time and labor.
I still hope this is the case. I've had money set aside specifically for a J12 for a long time now.

Would have been nice to see that one take off, it did suffer from some issues but it looked like CCM was getting them straighten out. Mine shot great...when it worked consistently even then it still worked with autotrigger.

I have never really understood the infatuation with this marker... its hands down CCM's ugliest marker to date... and mechanically wasn't very sound either, how these things fetch in upwards to $2000 is beyond belief.

Agreed on the pricing, granted there are only 50ish in the wild but 2 grand for one is crazy train. Ascetically they were okay, there were a couple of things that they can do better on, mechanically is where it had the major issues.

Because they're "rare".

To each his own, personally I love the look, hate the price and seeing how rare they are I will not likely get the chance to shoot one and comment on its mechanics.

It's not worth the price now, but it felt good and shot very well aside from some early issues. If it was currently common and in production / supported it would be a solid choice for a high-end open class pump.
