Not even the whole gun, just like feednecks, asa's, fittings, all that stuff. No more gloss is available. Seems like it was plenty profitable for all the years up until now and I found out they just quit polishing parts. I'll gladly NOT buy parts that won't match most of my guns finish.

There was a time when a beautiful polished anno finish was a mark of quality and was worth something. Guess that's not a thing any more even on a $600+ pump gun.

You seem very upset over your gloss-loss.

Yup. The plan is to do a run after the S6.

Pretty positive their polisher, that has been with them for years, got hurt, and was unable to polish anymore. Don't understand the need for hostility in your post.

Let's not forget that CCM was offering high quality polished markers for a much lower price than competitors for years. You were getting an amazing deal on the polished markers.

Pretty sure I was in a terrible mood when I posted that so, definitely more hostility that I meant to send over.

BUT STILL

I'm just disappointed that a company that I have been so happy with and loyal to for years buying feednecks and asa's for every gun I've built is now not only perpetually out of stock on virtually everything but also now does not offer polished parts which every gun I have is a gloss finish. It basically puts me out in the cold as a customer and limits my options in a market that is already pretty limited. Can you understand that frustration?

Oh and sorry to hear about their polisher getting hurt, that sucks. I hope he can come back to work at some point but from e-mails with CCM it sounds like they are just not doing polished parts in the future at all.

Losing polishing has certainly slowed things down a bit especially when it comes to prep work for anodizing. Tumblers are slow and can only process so many parts in an hour which in turn determines how fast we can get everything to the anodizer.

And to speak on the point about quality.. The quality in the machine work is still there and in some ways has only gotten better. The machine finish on our bodies has only gotten better over the years. A S6 body from today has a much better machine finish than a S6 body from years ago. As for the anodized finish.. We get it, a tumbled finish isn't as pretty as a polished finish but it is what it is and in no way affects the quality of the parts underneath.

With that said.. we ARE working towards bringing polishing back but like everything else it takes time. We've put in a lot of effort over the past year and may have found a polisher/anodizer but it's not going to be cheap. It certainly doesn't help that we were practically giving polished finishes away for almost nothing for all these years.
