Hey, guys. I'm moving to Houston for a couple of months next week. According to Google, there are a lot of nearby fields, so I was hoping for some input on which ones are best. I prefer casual, laid back, not super competitive fields. Renters, kids, newbies...not giant d-bags who are just out to pick on people.
I don't know if I'll actually get to play (or how much), given that im moving for clinical trials at the cancer center. But I just need to know where to go if I have a Saturday where I'm feeling especially good.

I frequent the Paintball Zone South field in Friends wood, south of Houston. Usually a good walk on turnout. I've played there for 2+ years and only run into sporadic douschiness. It happens at every field I'm sure. Mix of woodsball and walk on type players. Mostly.

There's a number of fields around.
Tank's out in Katy
TXR up in Cypress
Twisted Texas up near Conroe
Zone North up by Interconenental (probably the closest decent field)
Zone South down 45
J5R up on north 45.
Best place for some quick research once you're in town is Pro Edge Paintball. As far as I know they're the only independent (IE not on a field) Pro-shop in town: Pro Edge Paintball Houston,Tx | Pro Edge Paintball
I'd stay away from Paintball Bonanza and Survival games of Texas. I've never heard anything good about either of those.
There are a couple of smaller fields in town, I just don't know anything about those.
