Hey Trbo323

A check valve isn't really necessary on that 6pak because you are reloading a 12gram almost instantly.
Check valves were needed when people had the screw in co2 changers and weren't as vulnerable when they were changing air

As for compatibility with automag parts, I think the only thing you can use is maybe the reg seat for the pierce pin seal. Everything thing else is different

The whole stock is a agd 6 pack

Technically it's name is the 6 pak+ (spelled correctly)

It is a 12 gram cartridge quick changer. Basically when the 12g you have in is running low you pull the handle on the side, that ejects the empty cartridge and a new one is feed in from the magazine (metal piece) when the handle is pushed back forwards that pushes the new cartridge into place and pierces it. There are a few YouTube videos out there with them. Go check them out

Short history lesson:

The year was 1989. Tournament paintball was pump play only and even though co2 tanks like 12oz tanks existed the tournament rules were such that you could only use 12g cartridges. They felt that using CA (constant air, aka, bigger tanks) would change the game too much. So any player that could change 12g cartridges faster than their opponent had a advantage over them

Enter Tom Kaye and AGD (airgun designs) they started making the 6 pack at the beginning of the 89 season. Players realized really quick what a game changer it was. You can change 12g almost instantly and it conformed to tournament rules as you were still using 12g cartridges. The event that they announced it at they brought 100 to, they sold out that day. Over night they went back to the agd factory and assembled 100 more, brought them the next day and they sold out AGAIN.

The 6 pack was so popular in fact that half way through the 89 tournament season the ruling body that made the rules for tournament play changed the rules to allow CA bottles. Since people could instantly change 12g cartridges now, there really was no difference between running a 6 pack or a tank.

The 6 pack was so popular that it had put itself out of production within a year because the rules changed to allow tanks and nobody needed it any longer. Because of this only 2000 were ever made. Around 400 or 500 are a left handed version with the lever on the opposite side

They are a super cool piece of paintball history and I have wanted one for about 5 years and finally snagged this one at 200( which is fairly cheap for these) a few months ago
