Ion hall of Fame.

Like many my first electronic marker was a Smart Parts Ion. It came and went but now fourteen years after it’s release date I found myself in a position to rebuild some nostalgia. I know the parts aren’t extremely rare but thought this might take a few of you back to Recball days where every kid rolled with one of these.

back then... we'd say, "Save a rock, throw an Ion."

but what you've done is rather pretty.

I can see where the quote comes from. Problematic Bricks to say the least but my introduction to a microswitch trigger makes it a memorable gun to me. Thank you!

I'm the first one to bash smart parts. But, in all honesty. the ion is probably the most reliable and versatile gun smart parts ever released.

Agreed. Made it possible for a lot of young guys to get into it with a fast shooting marker to not feel out classed.

Same here, I really can't say anything bad about them. Fast, cheap, reliable and enough custom parts to build something unique. I think they were great for paintball

Those are really nice man! The purps is classy. I'm no stranger to poopin' on the Gardiners, but you can't deny that some of their products really just hit the stride.

Nice color on the purple
I still shoot Ions as my primary markers, though I do use my Automag often
Still holds up to current markers, honestly I dont feel any real improvement has been made in marker internal design since 2007
