Special 68 Special

Warning! This is a pic heavy post

Here it is, a nifty home modded 68 Special. I bought it in Peterborough Ontario. The owner bought it back in the day. He mustered out in '85 and he and some of his buddies wanted to keep training. They geared up, got some bush in B.C. and built themselves a field. 3 bunkers, trenches and tunnels. They hung a lantern on a rope and swung it to simulate the parachute flares a la Platoon... Eventually he moved to Ontario and stopped playing. He collects militaria and has a really nice Martini-Henry over his fireplace. I saw it on Kijiji and went for it. Took a while to do the deal but $100 CDN and it is all mine!

How easy is it to access the squeegee port, does that pop open? Or do you have to disassemble it?

Cosmetically it reminds me off a mini FN Model D.

What an awesome find.
it definitely bears a close resemblance to an FN

have you fired her yet?
Wondering how well that raincover works, the rubber wipe baffle in the tip is intruiging. A good bit of work was put into that modding.

I could be interested in that mask if you're looking to part with it.

Either way, what a score.

Even in Outlaw ball, it clearly shows how different MilSim is/was north of the border.

You called it, it pops open! The small cover over the front frame bolt is friction fitted and slips of so you can remove the barrel...

The mask it yours Tim, Merry Walzmas!
