milling & anno question

I want to have my viking milled and then annoed, but we're talking some serious coin to have everything done at once. If I have it milled and play with it in the raw state (and get paint on it), do I risk having anno problems when I do get it annoed? I'm unfamiliar with how markers are prepped prior to being annoed and was concerned that the oils in the paintball fill could cause some inconsistencies in the anno finish.

the paint wont affect it. The metal will oxidize and will have to be polished or blasted before ano to get a good finish. Only problem you can run into is that it will start to pit and that can affect the finish

Save up your pennies and play with it until you have money to cover both the milling and anodizing at once. Either way your gonna spend the money, so do it right. If you try and play with it you risk pitting, scratched, dings, etc. Aluminum is quite soft, and without anodizing is very prone to damage.
