So I'm the odd ball of the group and thought your original design looks pretty awesome. As others have said though, try you hand at something different. 45 frames are well beyond the majority of frames out there not only in production but also aftermarket as well. Another take on the Luger/Siler style would be cool.

Side note about printing Evil M frames: unless you can print with reinforced nylon like the AGD composite mag frames, I wouldn't print frames. People thrash aluminum frames now and I can't see how a printed frame would fare any better. Just my $0.02.

The tjd humpback frame is great, but add a timing rod hole for the mech cocker guys.

Tom your frame to me didn't feel 100% right, I couldn't pinpoint why, but I am not exactly sold on the design as is (don't take this the wrong way, just trying to give honest feedback). Let me know if it arrived ok, should have as it was shipped a few days ago.

Agree, like I said I will not be printing frames anytime in the near future, but its an excellent tool to have one to feel before taking the jump into machining it.

I will be giving some different frame options a look at when I put some more time into this, but for now it is going to sit for a while.

You can play. Maybe not well. You'll fit in fine.

I got it. I agree there is something off about it. I think its too wide. By just a little bit maybe 1/4 in

Its 3/4" thick and thats fine. What I was trying to get at was the distance from the back of the frame to under the trigger guard. Would you call that the width across the palm maybe?

Tom, try lowering the hump (vertically) and increasing the radius of the "notch" above it, or add a short linear/tangential transition between the existing radiused notch and a lowered hump.

I copied the frame to a new file and messed around with it. I tried some conic shapes some different tangency types and other such fun stuff. Nothing really passed the eyeball test. I did however take .250 off the palm width, and comparing that to the general relations of a frame that I know I like it looks better.

This might be the beginnings of a real thing and I feel like I am kinda jacking laxpro69's thread so I am going to make my own thread and bow out from this one.
