If I change it too much, I will probably have to look into custom grips for the frame as well (not that this would be much of an issue).
I understand you cannot print a frame that would hold up to rough use, but could you print a set of grips that could withstand some abuse? If so, custom grips aren't a big deal at all. I'd rather have plastic grips than aluminum simply for saving weight. Although I'm sure there are lots of people that would prefer aluminum panels so they could be anodized with their custom build.

Yes I think printed grips would hold up just fine, although they'd probably have to be the rounded type (maybe thats standard) rather than the flat, similar to the acrylic panel ones you see.

Plan on changing a few things around this weekend, and ideally trying to get a set of grips printed.

I'd love a gas through cocker frame. But I'm sure that's a pretty big stretch of the imagination.

Not really. If you don't mind the Empire Relay, you can do away with the HPR completely

Then if you want to be super fancy, you could stash the 3 way on the gripframe, a la the Sovereign, and move the LPR inside the frame... Talk about a weird looking Autococker

Weird looking autocockers are, IMO, the best looking autocockers.

Ty, you know I like different. We may have to discuss this at a later date. One project at a time for me. Should send the SFL out for anno in the next week.

Small thread hijack, sorry AbeShip

I am most interested in seeing the SFL after it comes back from anno.

We can talk more about this 'cocker... It will be an interesting, but expensive build, as everything will be custom.

Sorry Abes, but we could use one of his frames. I may have to purchase a FLE resurrection body and sit on it. Maybe a used resurrection for parts.

Maybe have the frame printed oversized and cast it in aluminium?

Then machine to final size and finish.
