After careful consideration I decided that I'm going to scrap this design. I realized along the way that we all know and love the Winchester body style, but to quote a character in one of my favorite series - it's not the ideal; it's good by comparison only.
As an innovator it goes against my grain to try to improve a flawed system if there is another, better way available, even if it means starting again from scratch. So I will with this project.
That's not to say that I won't be developing a modular hopper; quite the contrary. I am already deep into my own design, incorporating all of the features included above, and adding new ones.
But the Hat Trick hopper is no more. It's not going to be a Winchester derivative.

I for one am glad that you're changing direction to something more unique. As much as I like the Winchester, I feel that there's no need to re-make it (maybe I'd feel differently if I didn't already have a couple). I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
