Here are the pics. They illustrate the same narrative as my description. If you look closely on the 4th pic, you can see the threaded rod I used to attach the plugs after they were threaded. You can see the holes were tapped all the way into the hole for the vertical screw, but the screw was backed out enough so not to interfere with the vertical screw.

That scope finally fits! Really had to clamp it down there. Kind of useable, just have to turn my head sideways.

How are you mounting the scope? Have you considered using a red dot and riser instead?

Mounting the scope with a proteam sight rail for the VM. The taper on it is a little too great for the scope, so the mount really has to be clamped down. The scope is back on my air rifle now, where it belongs. I ordered a dovetail to picatinny adapter off eBay for like $5.00 CAD shipped. Shipping from China (obviously) so the estimated delivery is sometime in January. I can wait it out, gives me something to look forward to after Christmas. I just hope the tolerances on it aren't absolute ****.

Picatinny rail arrived from China, seems pretty well built tbh. Pictured here with my Tasco Red Dot, not sure what kind of optic I will actually run on it. The depth of the cheek piece on the stock and the height of the rail lets me get right down behind it.

Came up with a solution for the front sight. Ended up citing the sight protectors off the tippmann sight, and filed out the space underneath. The new sight protectors are the metal strapping for hanging pipes, clamped into the space underneath the sight. I'll have to spray paint it all.1535993603021.jpeg1535993674617.jpeg1535993698503.jpeg1535993738171.jpeg
