LED out on board, options?

So i picked up a few things, and in with it was a board i was hoping was working fine. Its a PM7 board, already trimmed for another gun, im putting it in my old angel LCD or my IR3, undecided yet. I plugged it in to the solenoid and it works fine, but the LED isnt working. Its about impossible to do anything with programming without it. Is there an easy way of fixing it that wouldnt put the board in jeopardy or is it basically just a loss? I have a little experience with small soldering and electronics but not a ton of gear to do it with.

Seems I may have the same problem with one of my LCDs so I hope there is a solution.

Replacing an LED is pretty simple unfortunately there may be another issue that is causing the LED to not illuminate. Anyone on here have schematics for these boards? I'd be willing to troubleshoot and repair the board for you but it is a lot easier if I have the schematics to work off from. I've been doing electronic failure analysis since the mid 80s as a part of my job.

Are these boards still available somewhere? Or is there another board to use as a replacement for LCDs?

oh man, thanks MacDave! I never would have thought of that. Big jim, i found it online, it was used, so i wasnt sure it would work at all. They pop up on ebay occasionally. There were a couple forums where i found people talking about different boards that would fit, but i cant find it at the moment. I think they mentioned something about maybe the ego boards? I cant confirm.
MCarter to the rescue again!

just sent them a message, hopefully ill get some good news soon

Is it the LED, or the joint on the LED? I just fixed a busted solder joint on my SP-1 board for example.
