Compression spring...

Wasnít exactly sure which area to put this post in, so apologies if it doesnít belong here.

Iím looking to find an 8in long compression spring, diameter about 1/2 an inch (I can measure exacts in a moment) canít seem to find them at the local hardware places...google searches didnít turn much up.

Iím looking to get a slightly stronger spring for my 8inch empire spring feed, I find the balls push back on the spring a little more than Iíd like.

I'd look at buying a spring from a mag fed gun, such as a Helix spring, or DMAG, or even a Dye spring. You can find them in different lengths and they should be the right force you want.

I've never had luck making my own springs from piano wire.
