using the trigger mechanism of a flip-top 12

Did anyone ever consider using the trigger mechanism of a flip-top 12 adapting it into a Tippmann 98.

The reason I would do such a thing is to make the 98 pistol grip move forward to the centre position.

This would facilitate making a more realistic mag-fed Tommy Gun.

Hmmm, I think the really difficult part will be getting the sear position correct. (Vertical and horizontal)

Why not just start with a ft12 though? It's a little blockyer which would make more sense for a Tommy gun build

The original ones were. The later M1/M1A1 built for WW2 was right-side cocking.
