Two fat guys paintball E1 Bolt

Anyone here use one before. I bought one new about a month ago, used it 1 time. Ran 600-700 rounds with it. Got horrible efficiency.

Well come to find out it leaks out of the bolt face and down the barrel. Used both rebuild kits and still got a leak. Gun doesn't leak with stock bolt installed. Contacted tfgp threw their website with no reply, so I contacted deathwish threw here and got a few replies but haven't had a reply since last Wednesday. Pretty disappointed to be honest, I debated between the Tech T and the TFGP bolt but wanted to support the "little guy" who's also a fellow mcb'er.

So anybody else have this issue(s) with TFGP bolt engines.

Nate

If you have a leak that would obviously kille efficiency. You need to try Yoda. Leaks have happened especially with the e1 and try to achieve minimum surface tension and dp tolerances. You can try different oring cant remember size. You also can use dow55 put a good amount on and let it sit. It will swell the oring a bit. But alot of grease to make it seal is good advice to see if its clase enough

Thanks for the reply, I'll try yoda.

So this is known issue with the tfgp e1 bolt? Or just e1 leaks in general?

E1 in general has more wild tolerances so when you make a bolt for it with better tolerances some guns will have some issues. So ya e1 w/ TFG bolts have had seen some leaks but TFG has resolved them with each person as far as i know. And like i said if its a slight leak grease can usually solve it either more grease or dow55 or a little of both.

It is the terrible tolerances that DP has in their markers that leads to problems. I love my G3, but I have seen more than a few that were constant trouble makers and I have seen many of the guns measure out different between like models. My techt bolt works fine in my current G3, but my friends only liked the stock bolt and had issues with a techt kit. As mentioned get ahold of Yoda on here or give their Facebook a try. I have had good luck corresponding with them on there and they are good guys to work with.

I'll be replying here for the meanwhile as it's in a public forum.

Did you misplace the large oring on the can/powertube?

We have had issues with leaking markers due to eye cover screws protruding excessively into the breech which destroys the oring gland as pictured here:

In the above case, the stock bolt also saw signs of damage.

Overall, we have had no issues with the E1 when we tested it ourselves, our testers have not found any problems, and all negative feedback from customers has been discussed and found to be either an oring missing, orings not lubed, general user error, or damage caused by these eye cover screws which do not necessarily stick into the breech on all markers.

To address the communications issues -

Website issues I only found out about ~4?5? days ago. We use a G Suite account for our inbound/outbound emails and it looks like the authentication dropped off without any notice, so we lost a lot of emails both ways. That's something we need to fix in terms of logging or being able to at least know when it's down, but we're so small right now that it's not something we tell by lack of volume. Still a lot to learn in that department. Sorry for that.

As far as the PM is concerned, I coulda sworn I messaged you back on Thursday, but I just checked and I did not. The message I had written up was basically what I posted above. We've never had leaks down the breech due to machining or core oring issues, only when people have lost that one on the can or the tolerances on the marker are so poor that we need to tell them to use a larger metric oring (which I have plenty of since I had to tech a few).

Either way, we'll get you taken care of. Please accept my apologies.
