Differences I saw:

1. Lacking a spring to reset the part that pulls the sear down. Looks like it relies solely on the trigger behind the trigger for this.
2. Extra nub sticking out of the bottom of the back cap.
3. Non-ST (soft touch) bolt. All Tac 8's have the ST bolt. Only T9-STs have the ST bolt. Original T9s have the non-ST bolt. I like the non-ST version better, no bumpers to lose.
4. Obviously the relief valve differences. The inside part of the relief valve is milled as part of the back block instead of being a removable brass screw-in part.
5. Bolt spring looks a bit different. A little heavier I think.
6. Hard to tell, but almost looks like the power tube is bored out a little more.

The extra two bolts on the back cap are not new to the SA-8. They were added somewhere after the first couple thousand Tac 8s. All Tac 8s have been coming with 4 screws on the back cap for a few years now.

Also:
Anyone that bought one of these and might want to sell off the mags, let me know. Interested in buying a few.

Huh, well that makes sense since my tac8 was one of the really early ones, when Tiberius was still having some issues with o-ring material. I replaced almost every single o-ring on my first tac8, luckily Tiberius had great customer services so I didnt pay a cent. <3 Tiberius.

Mine's one of the older ones too. In the mid 1000's. But not the first owner. No o-ring issues thus far, but I'm sure one of the previous owners probably took care of that (Flatline's Up! and ~Finsec from UMS).

I agree about liking the non-ST bolts. Glad they switched to them for the FS conversions.

My very early T8 has the non-ST bolt, no not all have them.

Thanks for the info..I wondered about the bolts in the SA guns. Has anybody determined if the main spring is the same as the First Strike or not? When I looked at that SA Tac8 at the WTL the bolt looked like a First Strike bolt; now I got confirmation.

I also find it kinda of funny on how hard most of us are trying to get the bright colors off these pistols while 90% of the paintball guns on the market are even brighter colored. Don't get me wrong I'm trying to paint mine too, but if this gun was made by Dye or Spyder I think most of us would just accept it

Makes a very satisfying "THHHHHWACK" when fired!

How are you supposed to store the oil after you open the package?

Depends on how thick the oil is, but I emptied out a CVS hand sanitizer spray bottle(perfect for this application, small and pencil shaped), and then just took off the sticker and poured the oil in there. Works great.
