Sculpting, second try.

Mods: wasnt sure where to post this, since there is no art section... but it is paintball related lol.

So emboldened, by my success in the new found skill of sculpting (see the mask art thread for my first try)
I decided to give it another go, a long with some painting...

Due to weight and strength considerations ive used Sculpey Ultra Light. It is very soft though, making it very hard to work with and keep the shape and details. Luckily most of the mistakes worked well here, as extra detail...

So the sculpt right after baking:

Black wash to bring out the details after sanding.

Base color/primer?

Final bone coloring and clear coat

And finally mounted

As far as anatomy goes, whoever that skull belonged to, didnt have much brains, but had a big mouth

can you sculpt a lower jaw for your pump handle? it'll look like the skull is making funny faces as you shoot

It must be the skull of a PBN'er

"I'm not an atheist, and I don't think I can call my self a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That , it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God. We see the universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws but only dimly understand these laws. Our limited minds grasp the mysterious force that moves the constellations. Albert Einstein
