Love it Carter, I really do. If we were to stick to the original version 20 people from all over the globe would have to meet somewhere in the middle because it's that hard to get a game conforming to Stock Class at its purist level.

For me I call my Redux SC but I have always known it doesn't conform to the original rules because of the 2 ball stack, at, ported barrel, freak inserts. These factory modifications however allow me to be competitive with any player on the field at a variety of locations.

Heck I'm lucky to run across a pump player once every couple years, if we stuck to the
rules as originally intended I would be lucky to do so once or twice in a lifetime.

Stock Class must evolve for the sake of survival!

Correct Grimace.

The idea was to make sure that the gun had to be rocked each time it was cocked. This rule prevents using something to keep the balls over the bolt so that as soon as the bolt was pulled back the ball chambered without the gun needing to be rocked.

I love what you are doing here Carter.

I'll make one comment, and this would fall under your "house rules" so it's kind of moot anyway. As someone who has owned a Pneumatic Assist. I don't care if someone uses one in a stock class event. Yes they give give a advantage in how fast the gun can be cycled. If the feed is angled enough or vertical it offers a rate of fire advantage. It also greatly increases the chances of a chop since we are talking about Gravity feed sticks, and those pneumatics lower the efficiency and increase the amount of times you need to change the 12ie.

A smart player will bate a PA used into shooting alot and use the time they are reloading to get a better shot and eliminate the player.

Great write up Carter!!

I have one question, where does my Sterling fall? Being as I use an AGD Micro CA & female Palmer. Im switching over to a stick feed or cram & jam soon. Either a modified SC or booted into Open right?

Micro CA only holds one 12ie at a time so if you put a stick feed on it it would make it Stock class according to these rules.

Carter that is an awesome, well thought out proposal. Stock class play needed to be made more inclusive to embrace the changing technology and available markers and you have captured that in a very simple yet comprehensive way. Cheers.

btw,
I run a CCM 6.5 as my (new rules) stock class marker and did not need to re-spring it. It will run better once I do, but can be used out of the box with some fine tuning.

Great Job Carter.

I smell a 2012 Stock Class event under these new rules.
