First thing to note, there is no mercy rule at that field/game. The Mohawk guy (i think i know who he is) had no obligation to accept it. It was not part of the rules, and "honor" or not, he was in the right. The Mercy guy had him, but he did not follow through and finish the job. Therefore, he wasnt out and has no reason to be. Rules are rules.

Also, there is a reason for the no mercy rule. While sometimes offering a surrender can be the nice thing to do, it can lead to possible confusion and more hurt feelings in the end. At a field that has a no mercy rule, sometimes the smartest thing to do is to just shoot. It doesnt have to be a rope. One shot suffices. However in this case, it wasnt as simple as that. If you read the fella's comment on Gmore's vid, mercy guy was ramping as he was running up to the bunker. Faced with the choice of either overshooting or risking the mercy, he chose mercy and paid for it.

I agree. The rules of the game were no mercy. It is always nice to offer it and Red did good to offer it. But until you get an acceptance of that shoot.

During a scenario game where there is absolutely no renters you can expect that your play base is somewhat experienced. So removing the mandatory mercy rules or relaxing the mercy rules helps keep the flow moving and allows for less confusion and other issues as well. As given the example of a bow eliminating an entire bunker..or even the classic "out of air or paint" charge that causes eliminations simply because of proximity.

That helps to clear it up. I agree then that Red should have shot the guy if those were the rules and the situation.

all those super open and grassy fields look like HEAVEN for pump players man. I wish we had a field like that here.

I'll echo my comment already posted on YT and say that I would like it if more people made videos like this. We could get a better feel of whats happening during big games and also provides a "virtual tour" of fields I might want to visit.
