I always thought of my Blazer as being named 'Nobby' after my Dad who died a few weeks before I bought it.
It has now earned the name Jones as in Jones the Blazer.

In Wales Jones is such a common last name that someone might be reffered to as 'Jones the Butcher' or 'Jones the Baker'. So why did the Blazer earn a Welsh name, because of it's fondness for leaks! (Welsh national symbols: Leeks)

one of my 98's is named Carmen, I don't remember the other one's name. My dad's A5 is Alexander, and I'm still working on names for the rest of my guns

My Phantom is named Mercitron. Nuff said.

I like naming my guns and things either after songs or morbid item. Sounds cool that's why.

My cousin named his gun the "John merrick elephant man bones explosion"

I named my tpx Richthofen, my A5 is named Shelly, and my 16 others don't have names. I'm thinking of calling my KP3 doubllong, because the rain cover is as long as the barrel.

My first marker, a Model 98 Custom I've had for over a decade, is "The Anvil" as in "as reliable as an anvil" (not heavy as an anvil, I have had a VM68 and several Classic 'Mags, so the M98C feels light by comparison). One of these days I'll get it powder coated and the name put onto the side.

It is all personal preference.
I guess i would take a name for a marker from criteria in this order

1) when someone else names it - or that the name develops organically from an incident or from the markers personality

1a)If you name it after someone special or significant in your life as a tribute

2) you name your markers following a set of personal guidelines/preferences

3) the name sounds cool

So here are a few names I have thought of that i will throw out there
"The Hammer" (its always better to be the hammer rather than the nail) Variants {Death's Hammer} {The Devil's Hammer}
"Silent Violence"
"The Griever"
"Paint Dealer"
"War Lord"
"Deaths Bell" (for whom the Bell tolls, it tolls for thee)
"The Samurai"

P.S. i havent named any of my markers yet lol
