The Axe has a clever tool less bolt removal, an amazing microswitch trigger, the on/off ASA, and a lot more space.

Everything people complained about was fixed in the Axe. I didn't like my Mini enough to keep it around, but I LOVE my Axe. It's the gun that gets used for most of my games.

No dipswitches on the board like with the mini, you don't have to remove that little panel to change modes. I can't tell you how many mini's I've seen with tape around the foregrip because kids lose that little screw.

I have this in my Axe, best upgrade you can get for it board-wise.

The axe trigger is roughly 200 times better than the mini trigger

The optimus board would lose settings if you didn't change the battery very, very quickly, and was programmed through a button on the board and the power button. It wasn't refined.

The Shockwave board always keeps it's settings even with the battery removed and is programmed through the trigger. It's much nicer to program and the operation code for it is far better.

The programming for the modes, Semi, PSP, etc. uses exactly the same logic as the Redline OLED board. It just obviously doesn't have the screen. It's just as good a board for playing the game though.

If your me.. the Axe will cost tons more because you can't stop upgrading it.

Issues with the Axe:
Ive spent a ton in upgrades because its so awesome.
I made new friends with people at Empire.
I am now a DLX and Empire fanboy.
Im in a race with Simon to see how expensive my Axe can get =p

I had a mini when they were knew and liked it. On the recommendations here I found a used axe and have it coming to me. We will see.

With a used gun, checking what board you have is the biggest thing.

There's nothing major that can go wrong with them that isn't an easy fix or supported by us via paintballsolutions.com
