Does someone have the base numbers for the extremes?

Say a Furious vs Tiller of the same bore size/length on the same marker (Tillers don't use ANY internal finish)

You could assume the difference (in anything) between a perfectly honed barrel and an average one would not be greater then the difference between the Furious and the Tiller, at least giving you more information on how worthwhile this might be.

I'd say the best thing would be to compare apples to apples.

In a case like this, two stock Axe barrels, one of them honed, one of them not.

I also think this would be more telling even than freak inserts, unless an overbore is being used. I think an underbore would mask or otherwise defeat the point of honing to this degree.
