Do know spit on your lens to prevent fogging
I was just looking online about preventing fogging up when wearing a paintball mask and a few people recommend spiting on your mask then wiping it of apparently most divers do it, so have any of you ever tried it i have a thermal mask and i sometimes fog in it so this might be a cheap though gross method of reducing fog.
P.s when i have gone paintballing before i have had marshals apply anti fog stuff to the mask and then when the marshal noticed it was a thermal mask he said applying anti fog onto it might have somehow damaged it and that it could increase the likeliness of it fogging again i don't think that's true but i thought it was worth asking you guys.

When you talk about your thermal lens, do you mean single pane "thermal" lens or dual pane actual thermal lens?
Also, which mask specifically?

I use PJ1 fog blocker on my cheap single pane JT that has a thermal coating and have not had a problem...even for a cheap mask I have to be really huffing to get it to fog. the PJ1 does not appear to have damaged the thermal coating in any way.

Well, I am sure there are variables. For instance spitting on your mask with a lugy is probably not the best idea. Same with what you just ate. If you just ate a chocolate bar it may also be detrimental to your cause, or if you drank a cup of coffee or a milkshake.
"The world is like a ride at an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it, you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly colored and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: Is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid ever, because this is just a ride." And we ... kill those people." - William Melvin Hicks

Pooping on your mask may prevent fogging too, that doesn't mean you should do it.
Just get a nice mask, you won't regret it.

Spitting on the inside of your mask to keep it from fogging was common practice when going snorkelling in the Bahamas. Or at least it was years ago.

I'm sure it was someone on mcb that posted this before? But Band-Aids in your mask/goggles is supposed to work? He even says "It beats spitting in your goggles" lol.
