RAP4 bolt action

Looks good and has to be better priced than a sar12.It isn't a prototype just fluffing around for now.

It is nice to see another option in the bolt action/sniper rifle
I wonder what the price range it is going to be in.
I could see if it is around the same price as the entry level Tiberius T9 rifles ($400), I could see them having a good contender in the magfed sniper.
I like that they are using the Dmag. For those that already have a Rap4 or Tacamo'd Tippmann that uses Dmags, you don't have to have a different load out for your gun (sorta annoying when you need different mags for all your guns)

The only thing I am worried about is the quality control on the gun.

If it is in the $400 range I might be interested but like you said I would be worried about quality control

I think another thread said it was expected to be ~$600.

I saw that and for that price I would consider going higher to sr1 or sar12

The capacity 'issues' of the SR1 would be more than made up in the level of quality you kow you are getting.

I noticed that as well. And while it might not have any performance impact each time I saw it I could swear I heard something say cheap

I'm right with you guys. Normally I would give it the benefit of the doubt but I recently had the displeasure of working on a Rap4 t68 and everything about it reeked of cut corners. Then I opened up the trigger frame and saw the trigger and sear contact points is that. Looks like it was cut out with a oxy torch and they were like ya know what thats good enough . I would NEVER pay 600 for a gun from them and I would have a really hard time thinking about 400. After seeing the way they cut corners I would not conceder more than 200 msrp and even then I would try to get a used one at 100.

So my expectations are low but I would really like to be wrong on this one because it looks like a fun alternative.
