Pumper's Pants

50rd pods are not very big.

I get that you can stuff one in the pocket of about any pair of paintball pants, but how hard would it be to stick one or two little PB-Mafia-style sleeves near the belt area (in the back or just above the crotch) of a pair of pants?

Does something like this exist for the casual pick-up pumper? You don't need a hole damn pod pack, do you? Hopper plus 2 50 rd pods?

Just a thought. Has anyone done this? Alternatively are there 50rd pod sleeves that would snake onto a belt like a holster?

Jason

Thread might have been premature--I found a ton of 1 pod pouches made for belts.

Curious about any pants out there that just have a few sleeves built in?

+1 for an epic thread title.

I just looked on WTF's website, but couldn't find the double 50 pod pack I have for when I want to go big and carry some pods. Maybe they have been discontinued...

I have been thinking about this more. There should be something allowing for two pods to be attached to a 13/3. Either the 30 rd tac pods or the 50rd app pods.

The 50 rd pods are shorter than a 13/3, so they shouldn't interfere with the direct contact between the tank and the shoulder. They are not so wide that when one is attached to the underside of the tank and one is attached to the top side of the tank that they would be in the way.

Yea, there may be some bulk to the 13/3, but if they are secured well, the pods won't be in the way and it could be better than finding other places to stick pods.

Maybe the mod would be a tank cover with sleeves or pouches, but maybe the mod could be made of plastic clamps.

This is what I was thinking. I spent countless hours drawing this

ive actually tried that before Deuce, the 30 round pods might be a good choice, the 50 round pods bugged me. It didnt seem like they should be in the way, but they were somehow. Either getting in the way of my face on the top, or being something i had to watch out for on the bottom when crawling.

Don't know if this was the inspiration but why not go for a design similar to the Empire tank covers with the zip out pod sleeve. Although unnecessarily complex, something like this would at least keep the pods from sliding forward. The tank cover keeps them in a permanent position and as long as it's tight fitting can be moved to accomodate the players "handedness".
