Living Legends Qustions..
Hey MCB. I have a few questions about the Living Legends event. I know it is in Illinois and that is pretty much it.
First question, will there be a LL 8?
Second question, if anyone has been to one event what is the best way to prepare/ tips.
Third question, how was the experience?
I am asking these questions because my good friend had moved to Illinois this year and I live in Las vegas, NV. We both love paintball and want to plan like a reunion trip and what better way to do it than a huge paintball event! Thanks for your time!

There will be a Living Legends 8.
Prepare for humidity with close to Las Vegas summer heat, I think a few years past it has been close to 90 degrees with about the same humidity.
When it rains it is cooler, but much more muddy.
The field is not really designed for the number of people that the event brings, but they are doing the best they can to accommodate everyone.
I am not as good as I once was, but I am as good once as I ever was.

Ok thanks.. I am so excited for the opportunity.. will there be a lot of hype when the official announcement comes out? So I know when I need to pre order paint and get my fees and stuff. How many cases would you recommend? I play pump open class to help.

Yes, also a huge Living Legends Facebook group and page. There will be no shortage of details posted. It's usually the weekend before Memorial Day in May.

I went to LL5 and it was a good time. CPX puts on a good event. There was some major paint issues for LL5 and CPX did a good job at trying to remedy those problems.
As stated...it gets hot. Take water onto the field with you and keep drinking through the day.
I was surprised at the amount of woods the field has. Everyone thinks of the high profile city streets of CPX and I was quite surprised at the amount of woods the field has.
Prepare to walk a good distance from parking to staging and playing areas. Gear in a wheeled crate of some kind will likely make you happy.
Get their early for registration. For a such a high profile field, their registration lines are painfully long.
In years past, they have had open pump play on Friday night. If you can roll in early enough on Friday and attend Friday's pump play, you might enjoy that.

Back to paintball.
Water. Tons of water.
Don't buy the marbs.
Check facebook LIving Legends Page or Viper Paintball Page.
Eat Chicago Pies from Pequods.
Bring boots, it may get very wet.
Know that the second day is shorter than the first day. You won't need as much paint.

Vegas heat? I don't remember it ever being 110-120 in Chicago
The heat is bad if your not use to it. Just drink tons of water.
