Picked up another single-shot and my first brass piece (besides the PGP I got for WALZmas from chipinstone)

Very excited to use this more this year.

I can't decide how I want to join the club. I have a PGP2k that I had planned to knock the feed tube off of, but I'm starting to think a Pre-2k might be better... Thoughts?

Probably wouldn't matter too much either way. The PGP2 will need the paint stripped, though.

I am totally cool with that. I'll eventually pick up a K-frame as well. Is there specifically a rule that singles need to be bare, beautiful brass?

Haha, no, I just prefer soldering with no paint.
