Well the second is a mag with a spring feed. Which I would like to see more with how that was done.

"You've just touched on what I feel is the biggest problem with many of the magfed guns right now. You can't aim them. All the tactical rials and fancy shrouds and you're left guessing where your shot is going to go. Without a good line of sight on the front barrel and/or getting your eye in line with the barrel when shooting it (because of the air-in-stock stuff), you can't reliably hit much. So most move to using scopes/sights, which are only really effective when using FSR."

The reason that most "modern, speedball style" guns are easy to shoot is because the ergonomics is set up specifically for paintball. I love shooting older guns but realistically, M16 and .45 style grip frames that dominated the old gun designs are not comfortable. A paintball gun balances differently than a real gun. Centerfeed guns are congruent and easier to aim. A 14 inch barrel provide a good deal of sight radius and allows for a good visual reference point. Any time that the end of the barrel is too close to the gun, too short, or obscured by a hand guard makes it tough to aim them. Milsim guns are trying to approximate the look of a real gun without providing the ballistics behind them. A lot of people seem to counter and say that their optics are good out to say, 30 feet, but point shooting can be accomplished at that distance anyway (even with real guns on a man size target). I rarely see mislim gun owners or airsoft players actually using iron sights or optics; they're just on there for show. I think there could still be ways to get a more reliable sighting system for milsim players but to do it properly, the paintball gun would not look like a 1:1 replica of a "real" gun in the process.
