For use in the smaller DAM magazines, I’ve found the optimum length of MCS spring is about 6 7/8 inches, or about 19 coils when including all the coiling in the uncut end.

I have no experience with the larger DAM magazines, though.

For the 20 round magazines, I've been using these with great success:

Do you trim the springs at all for the 20 round DAM magazines?

EDIT: Nevermind. I should have clicked the link before asking. :P

Have yet to use the mags for their intended purpose, but just playing with the tension on the new springs, so so good.

So how is this going? How many ended up being built? How people are using and are there any quirks or issues after a few months?

Just got mine.

Bottom line Asa and a hose long enough to connect to the valve just arrived.

Still don't have any mags! Lol.

I’ve built 6 MFGs thus far for customers, almost done with a 7th, plus my personal prototype that I still use. I offer a full warranty on all my work, so any problems that arise which involve things like structural integrity or feeding issues, I fix for free. I’ve had one issue come up so far that was brought to my attention by my first customer; it’d shoot roundball fine, but FSRs were having flipping and breaking issues about 1 out of every 10 or 20 shots. Had him ship to me to see what was wrong, and I determined that Level 7 bolts apparently can have a tendency to damage or flip the next FSR in the stack as they travel forward to fire the chambered FSR. I came up with a simple mod for the bolt, and voila, no more flips or breaks. I reached out to the owner of the 2nd and final MFG I sold with an unmodded Level 7 bolt and had him ship me his bolt for modding, as well. Just mailed that one back out to him yesterday. All MFGs with Level 7 bolts since then have all left my shop with this bolt modification already done. Other than that, I haven’t heard of any problems. If there are, I’d really like to know.
