Horizontal Harness

So as of late, I have been using my Sly 3+ harness and love it, but as my dad and I both play, and his back isnt the best, he has been talking about wanting to find a horizontal pack to make it easier to reach back and grab his pods. Does anyone know if there were ever any good quality horizontal harnesses out there? Not the super cheap GXG packs, but something of decent quality.

Hes not in bad shape, as work (he and I are both plumbers) keeps him up and moving, but he is still 50 years old, and not as flexible as most of the people out there on the field with us

This is what the Statue of Liberty is supposed to mean. But what does she mean now? How have we strayed so far?

If you can find one the old Unique packs were the best in the business. My teammate has an old one with 4 on each side and suspenders and it has held up great for years.

Hes not looking to carry that much, maybe 3 or 4. The latest pack hes been interested in is the old JT Slammer pack, but its really not made for pods other than the Speed pods.

Oh they made smaller ones too, more just commenting on their durability.

Looks like Bacci has a couple in stock.

I've seen the JT pack used with other pods before.

I personally ran with an old Redz Flex Tech 4 horizontal pack (often with just two pods in it) for years. I loved that thing, the pack with the absolute fastest pod reinsertion I've ever used, which is a must for those really large woodsball games where you can't just drop your pods.

Agree with Fullofpaint with the unique pack completely. They work great and I still have and use a 20 year old one.

Hes saying he doesnt want those kind of clasp buckle belts, he wants more like the modern style wide velcro strap.

It looks like the Redz packs as stated above can be found with a belt thats similar to that

There's the BT 4+1 that has a 2 on each side configuration. They're still out there and that magazine style pack, but I know nothing about them or if it was just a badly played gimmick.

Would the Valken V Tac Bravo vest be suitable? Holds 6 pods horizontally.

I have a redz horizontal pack that is a lot like the JT. It has held up for 20 years and is still the pack my wife uses when she plays.
