Nike combat slide shorts, has a pocket for a cup, and knee/shin guards. I use a dump pouch for a sporran w/o a cup.

Breezy and free when not playing paintball.

the first couple of times, had on boxers under the kilt, came to realize that running over small brush, stones and things possibly at that height, lets just say that my best friends were taking a beating
got a pair of valken slide shorts, HUGE difference.................well worth it

you dont really feel the hits in a kilt like you do in pants, and it great for bounces......

Holy crap! Is that one of the new Carter's Commando jerseys?? Just found this with a quick Google Search

The new CC jerseys are pretty close to the ones we ordered 8 or 9 years ago.

As for under the kilt; Slide shorts are nice, I added a pair after sliding feet first up to a bunker on artificial turf resulted in some nasty turf burn on my right arse cheek.

Fun kilt trick -
if you have a full size kilt or "great kilt" as opposed to the more common skirt/victorian kilt, you can take some of the extra pleats and tuck a corner into you belt to make a large pocket called a buhdhel (not sure of the Gaelic spelling, but it sounds like "boodle") that is big enough to serve an an excellent dump pouch or even a pod carrier.

(Great kilts are usually not sewn, about 7 yards long when un-pleated, and have long pleats that go over your shoulder)

Yeah there's no way I'd go Regimental while playing. Between the lack of restrain and control on the banger and spuds the idea of sliding and having nothing between mother nature's fury and my undercarriage is asking for trouble and a site few would enjoy.
Boxer briefs or slider shorts are your best bet.
