Also curious here. I always thought the Alien Interceptor looked really cool.

I've never analyzed one to a significant degree, but I do own a Deception and older Remains. I believe the older Aliens are probably of better overall quality (specifically tolerances) than the more recent ones. However, I've not had a single issue out of my Deception, and it's actually a fun, competitive marker to use.

Continuing on with the Deception, I do believe they were designed by Mike Spurlock and built in one of his Taiwanese shops, likely alongside the Machine Vapor. They use the same board, the triggers geometry is similar, and the feedneck designs are identical. I've heard that seal sizes/dimensions can vary between markers, but again I have not verified this. All of the seals in mine were fairly standard when I received it, and I've not had any leaks or strange issues. Consistency is quite good and the internal fit/finish is also good. Maybe I'm an exception, but I've had no issues with any of my Spurlock guns (also have two 2014 Vapors)....but I know what I'm doing, so that probably helps.

If you're into weird/unique markers, I think Aliens fit the bill nicely. But don't expect them to do anything better than anything else. If you're someone who requires a "turn on and go" marker that requires minimal maintenance/knowledge on tuning then it may not be your best bet. The Deception to me, though, is one of the best looking markers ever and it performs well enough.

I’ve owned 3 Aliens (2 Independence’s and an Interceptor) and all shot great.

Additionally, a marker on my shortest of short lists to hopefully get a hold of one day is a black (or black/green) Independence....an SL would be icing on the cake. Love those.

Kevin, got pics of your Indys?

I liked the older ones. A friend of mine worked as a tech for Jack Rice. He had an interceptor first and then had the first remains any of us saw. The thing shot great. I wasnt crazy about the 90 frame on the interceptor, but aside from that they're great. Never saw anything after that, so I can't comment beyond the remains.

I fired a deception once at the field's target range, and I can't wait to add one to my arsenal!

I owned a 09 and 11 Indy and they were fantastic guns. Shot very well and were very reliable. I liked the shot quality and they reminded me a lot of a very well tuned g6r. I can't speak for the new ones, but the older ones were solid.

Still have an 06 remains. Damn good shooter, but I’ve rebuilt the solenoid once already and just ordered a new solenoid for it after it sat for a long time.
