Maybe 3d print a PETG mold and blow mold polyethylene or polypropylene into it?

That's a novel idea, I'd just have to find someone who has the equipment

I'm considering making a mold and doing it correctly, just need to do more research.

Just for my own sanity, would someone verify/apply input to my quick measurements for a 15 round tube?

Overall outside length - 10.22"
OD at the base (bottom of tube) - 0.78"
OD at the mouth (opening of tube) - 0.82"
ID at mouth 0.735"
Wall thickness ~ 0.0043"

Anything you would like to see applied to the tubes?

Just measured my opaque white capless tubes and got basically the same ID/OD measurements. Would you be putting the rings near the opening to allow for tethered caps?

Now there's a good application for 3d printing - the tethered caps! In TPU! Gonna go draft one up, BRB!

I will indeed be adding the rings, I was debating on making a capless design but would rather seal the paint off from debris and weather with a cap. If I do get around to making them, they will be to my requirements

If you would make the cap design deeper than the stupid empire ones I would be very much pleased.

Here's a start. Does 1/2" cap height look ok?

Looks great to me!
If you are able to print up a few I will gladly test and abuse them.
