fun markers. Brass goodness. What happened?
I used to be able to hop on here and browse multiple KPs for sale, 2 or 3 PPS super stockers, and some old brass. What has happened? I miss those days. Now it's all nelsons, and the occasional $1,200.00 dust black S6 with idiot marks on the reg, you pay PP fees.
It was a simpler time, and I for one miss it. Damn these millennials!

Hey now, don't lump me in with all the younger ones. I may be one, but at least I remember a time without the internet.
I hear you though. Even as recent as a few years ago you'd find more of that stuff. I don't care for brass myself, but it's nice to look at.

Part of the reason I don't bother with black Friday posts any more..... It used to be a fun time we shook loose collections and mixed things up.
Now..... It's just bleh

Money Pits 'R Us
There is less for sale because the market is better (at least on the surface). People seem to have more cash lying around than they have in the last decade, meaning less hardship sales of premium brass, and larger collections at the top end. I believe it was part of the major rise in the cocker market.
On top of that, more and more folks seem to have come back to the sport in the last 3-5 years, which tells me that we're in the part of the cycle where people burned out from coming back into electronic guns, and have filtered into the Brass market.
You made it look cool, and now everyone wants in, lessening the supply.

I think the well is running dry for brass markers. The people who have them, are content to keep them. And the amount of new ones being made is minimal, at best. Anyone who wants one now pretty much has to wait for a dinosaur to give up the game and put their museum up for sale.
Maybe with Autocockers and mechs coming back into popularity, or perhaps even within the magfed market, we could find a crowd that would buy a modern brass marker. I would love to see a springfeed BE Nightmare LB. A brass break open double barrel FSR pirate pistol would be awesome, too.
It is sad. I agree that space guns don't have the class that a Palmerized PGP has. But we live in a day where watches have internet and cars have autopilot and nobody under the age of 30 knows how to drive a manual transmission or change the oil. Technology has no soul.
If I don't answer, please leave a message.
I will call you back.
