I'm using a 68/4500 simply because that's what feels the most ergonomic to me. I could run a 13/3k, but they're a bit short for me to shoulder comfortably.

It's not the offset feed that throws off my aim but rather how the body is tapered towards the barrel with diagonal lines running down along the side. I like to shoot with the body and barrel perfectly parallel to each other. The stock Emek body isn't designed that way, so I have to walk my shots more than I otherwise have to with something like a Cocker or Mag. If I played with it enough, I may be able to train my eye to aim differently. But right now, I'm trying to overcome years of muscle memory and aiming techniques.

Pretty good shot count from that size of tank?

I'm going for lightweight... I ran my mech Ions on either a 13 or 22 ci tank, but with the fixed ASA I can't run a drop so I'm stuck with the 13.

Insane shot count. I barely notice the needle move much throughout the day.

With a meaty overbore I can usually get around 250 out of a 13.

Sweet.

I've got a CP .685 one-piece that will likely go on but that's as far as I'm going with bore matching.

It's an open bolt mech, that'll be just fine. I went the ridiculous route and put a .692 Lapco on because I want to use non-winter paint in the winter without (hopefully) excessive breakage. I rarely see a point to do any sort of matching either, especially on an open bolt gun.

A 17 cu inch is my favorite tank. I put a myth on mine, perfect length for me. The shot count sounds fantastic. An Insight would get 285 off a 17, this sounds better. A low cap pals plus two 100 rd pods off a tiny tank sounds awesome.

So... it arrived in the mail yesterday.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is PALS equipped... there was nothing about it the website so I was assuming it wasn't going to have it.

First thing I noticed was the stock barrel won't thread in... it's too tight. I tried it on my other Cocker threaded guns and seemed ok, just won't thread in all the way on the Emek. No big deal, I wasn't going to use it anyways, just found it odd.

I ended up putting a hybrid SP barrel on (AA back, Teardrop front) and tried it out in the backyard... seems all right. I'm hoping some field time with it will impress me more.

So far, cautiously optimistic this will a good replacement for my mech Ion.
