In order to properly use one you need time, without getting super lucky and the other team basically heading straight for your hiding spot from the start, id say at least a half hour

Most rec games are limited to 10 or 15 min. Best case is you cause a tie

Worst case your team loses because the ref forgets you are out there and everyone else is out

Somewhere in the middle your team wins without any help from you

So besides big games, where is the fun in actually using them again?

I don't use a ghille suit, but I do play paintball once a year up on a mountain in Utah with work buddies on 66 acres. We'll scenario games and really long games in the woods. Guys have fallen asleep out there before during games. That is the only time I think a ghille suit would be handy. I considered buying one, but the thought of cleaning it, hauling it around, and then taking it on and off seemed like a pain in the ***, so I bought a $10 camo coverall instead. It works great.

Falling asleep in the middle of a game....

I mean, are you really playing at that point?

Why not just string up a hammock and leave the paintball gear in the garage?

For paintball, a ghille suits benefits are far over the top. A decent set of drab color BDUs and 20 dollars of milsurp camo netting fixed to the mask is just as effective at breaking your outline up.

I believe they absolutely can be, if your team is getting pushed back, find a good spot and wait. Other team starts passing you by either hit then from behind or try to take out a Commander

they have there uses and not so much uses. if really humid outside and feels like 110 do not use sweat way to much. if cold outside keep you warm and nice. but odds are you have to stay in woods all day and camp or hardly move at at all. also in open field like city cityscape desert area will not work too. all depends on setting and if want to camp or not. i caught someone in ghillie suite like 4 times when playing paintballing from other team and twice from my team by mistake and all most hit person. not hard to see or find if work in job need to look for small or damage wood or odd things coming down soil laundry bag.
