Vintage, to me, would be anything not made anymore, and a certain age, generally at least 20 years old (early 90's stuff, at this point). Classic makes me think of stuff like Cockers and Mags - things that are iconic to an era and not really produced any more, or have been overshadowed by more up to date developments.

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them.”

I’ve always understood vintage as meaning something is of high quality for its time and place, not just of a certain age. There is definitely stuff that is just old and was never really that good. That’s retro though, where novelty, style and/or nostalgia give a marker value.

-I'm not quite as old as dirt, but I can remember when it was still under warranty.

(In reality, many of you, going by a recent thread, are considerably older than I am. )

Btw doc, my wife rolled her eyes, shook her head and walked out of the room when I read a recent strip of yours and started laughing hysterically.
-Was it the bobble-bobble-bobble one? That still makes me giggle, and I wrote it.

Yes it's vintage but neither brass nor a autococker therefore very little value
