Milsim-Lite

So, every time I play a scenario I breakout some old electro and just super in your face and wear our funny team logo T-shirt and blah blah blah.

Sometimes, Iíll finish a scenario and start thinking how cool it could be to actually have camo and do missions and try to play the game, if you will.

Then I start thinking about setups. I donít need full blown milsim gear.
In fact, Iím actually leaning towards an A5 with upgrades. I always thought those cyclone feed systems are so cool.
Iíd probably run a remote line and tank on my back.

Things like that.

Thing is, I donít have any idea whatís in that type of marker. Iím not opposed to magfed markers, I just donít know anything about them.

I just want to see what you guys would suggest for that type of set up. Gear included.

Thanks

Good one

For the A5, it ls a good start, cheap enough to give it a try and upgradable enough to keep it for a while and/or convert it to magfed (with FSR capabilities).

For gear, start as basics as you can and get what you need after a few games ...

Personally not a fan of the cyclone, they are a step backwards from a force fed hopper imo, they cause more issues unless you have really thick shelled paint in my experience. If you want to go tippmann I'd just pick up a 98 and a rotor or w/e hopper you like.

Honestly, and it feels like a broken record, I'd pick up an emek and rotor; and add an emc kit for milsim points. (extra milsim agg points it you cover the rails in useless accessories )

Why do you want to change what you shoot in order to play the game and do missions? I don't get the connection there, honestly. I love old blowbacks and A5's are cool as hell, **** I don't even own an electro. But if you are used to them and comfortable, I think you will be wondering why the hell you are running around with a big clunky blowback trying to make this work.
Basically I'm saying, you don't need to change your gun to "play the game and do missions", hell you don't even need Camo (though it can help a bit, especially in scenarios, don't believe the silly haters)

My 2 cents plus extra for a donation

Itís a different game. I go out there with a big clunky electro and a funny T-shirt and charge into battles. The concept changes drastically. Blending, moving, shooting, style is all different. Yeah, I could lay in some bushes with my bright orange/yellow fade Impulse, with orange rotor on top and unload 40 paintballs at someone and hope they donít notice. Orrrr I can change the game a little try to accomplish the mission using different strategy. I suppose, to your point, I could buy a simple camo flavored electro and still remote line it and all of that jazz, but then Iím just missing the aesthetic.

Camo is somewhat overrated, you can get away with just wearing earthy colours. I played a game in a low hanging forest, and had a major advantage over the guys in bright colours. I am a believer in some 3D camo, but not too much. 3D head covers are what I like, because that and your gun are the things that you will be presenting.IMG_20190501_170837.jpgIMG_20190501_170927.jpgIMG_20190501_170905.jpgIMG_20190501_170843.jpgIMG_20170118_171706_924.jpg

I ran a remote line for almost a decade of playing scenarios before I realized running a remote line was more of a hassle and had several huge drawbacks, it made it more difficult for me to set my marker down if I needed to disarm myself, it introduced two more potential points of air pressure failure (knob and slide check), and of course the snagging the line on things.
