I can run 5 star in my Eclipse springs DAM mags on the MG100, Evil should work, but not with stock springs

Those MCS DAM mag replacement springs (the same as Dmag springs?) are the bees knees compared to the stock springs. Much gentler on paint. Much easier to hand-load. Ball capacity gets increased by 1 per side. Still feeds just as fast. And they’re cheap as dirt. Best magfed upgrade ever.

I'd give evil a shot

Still to this day the best case of paint I have ever shot was evil, it was so good the one ball I wanted to curve wouldn't curve and ended up costing me $200

Marbs have been mediocre at best. I've had some good ones but not enough to warrant spending the extra money if I were in your shoes.

Buy evil, save money is my vote

And report back with how they are

The pink fill evil we got at icc was actually almost too brittle. I took it out of the box and put the bags in a cooler but by an hour later every bag had a burst in it. Just from warming up 10 degrees they started shattering. Also had 2 of our guys break balls in their hopper just sliding into bunkers. Haven't had marbs in a while but they last time I got them they were only ok so I wouldnt pay $20 more a case for them.

Pro teams at ICC had their cars next to the field running with the ac on for the finals to keep their paint from exploding...

I used to be a huge Marbs fan, and found regular Evil to be a similar if not an inferior product. They were similar enough that I largely found them to be more significantly influenced by the event (the batch for the event, and how it was handled prior to delievery at the event) to be more relevent than the brand. That being said, Ultra Evil was an entirely different animal, being limited only to tournaments (never for retail), and had a super, almost paste fill, and a great shell.
