Pretty neat, polished metal is always a great way to get people excited, heh

As far as action is concerned there seems to be an absence of a proper bolt action as of yet, that would be my preference on the matter, but I know a lot of people love the convenience of pump

If you go Dam mags, you can save yourself some design time and buy a dam magwell...if you go tipx mag you can save yourself some time by going with the Milsig Industries PMC magwell... about a year ago I designed a Tipx mag phantom and was about ready to make it until I lost my manual lathe.

Make the barrel be the pump, like the Thumper.

Pulling the barrel forward opens the breech, and brings the hammer forward to engage with the bolt. The bolt never moves. The hammer is slotted to allow the pump arms to go back when the breech is closed, whilst leaving the hammer forward. Everything else functions as a normal Nelson.

I know Mike Cassady played around with this idea for a while, but he said that he could never make it work right. Although, if it were me, I'm thinking it would pretty much have to be bolt action to eliminate the pump handle under the breech. You would also probably have to use DAM mags since they feed from the back (think Ghost Flanker's Automag mod).

I have some ideas in mind for the pump/cocking handle. The new Dye DAM followers will give me some extra wiggle room too.

Still exploring options though.
