Arts and crafts time: Knitted Tank Covers

Ok, so a few weeks ago I saw some player got a knitted tank cover from his girlfriend. It was cool and I was VERY impressed! Thought I can do the same thing... So over the course of about 8 hours, I cranked out 2 different kinds for my pair of 48/3k tanks. One is Minecraft Creeper themed and the other is just red and black to match the color scheme of my Spump. (Not pictured.)

My only regret is securing the green one and not putting any hockey tape on the inside... It's a little slippery inside and doesn't grip enough. Only figured it out after I did the second tank that had tape on it already. Oh well!

First off, super cool

But also, you secured these into the tanks?

How will you prove hydro date at the field?

Haha, thanks! I can't take the credit fully since there was some lucky guy out there first. Securing is a relative term... I mean it's just a loop of yarn. Was going to 2.0 it with some elastic or even a ziptie just for these same questions.

Very nice. I like the tight pattern of the red one. Do you knit a lot in general? My wife knits A LOT. I thought about learning, but I wouldn't have the patience.

An elastic cord with a cinch-button thingy (forget what they're called, lol) would be great for these.

Nah, I'm just generally a crafty guy. I do stuff and things. More recent label: Maker? LOL

Yeah, I know what you are talking about... I just don't know the name either!

Yeah, those things! I also make barrel plugs with paracord drawstrings. Having these would give that finishing touch way better than a knot.

Are those the same as the little fasteners that go on barrel condoms?
