From CCI and CCM? Acrylic.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

The key is that after your "normal" machining operations you need to sand down through a wide range of paper grits and then polish the acrylic to obtain the clear look. It can be done but you need to test all the steps to ensure that you remove the scratches from one step before proceeding to the next and you need to try it on something non critical to figure out how much material needs to be removed in the process of this multi step operation.

It's best to talk to a local plastics shop about the steps involved and the method that involves the least amount of work. I've done it but I took shortcuts and the results were OK for what I was doing but they were hardly optically clear like CCM and CCI manage.
