As far as machine shops go, have you tried reaching out to Docís Machine yet?
Thank you, I really appreciate the offer and advice; I'll probably take you up on that. I will start looking into what it would take to get this project up and running again. I already have a few improvements that I'd like to incorporate into the bolt design...

I don't believe that I contacted Doc's Machine. Did you recommend him for prototype work, full runs, or both?

Doc offered to make me modified versions of his Automag to Autococker barrel adapters for my MFGs. However, he is usually super busy, and your kit is admittedly a bit more extensive to make, but it couldnít hurt to ask.

Seems like you could get someone here to 3D print the adapter and bolt to test and then do a machine run?

Sounds about right. The box full of parts that I sent out finally returned a while back. Just about everything was badly damaged, including a mint '99 Autococker body (my first marker from many years ago), as well as a brand-new PTP PTSC2 body that I purchased here specifically for this project. Oh, and the USPS wouldn't honor the insurance claim (first for the lost package which couldn't be located for over a year, then for the damaged parts citing BS reasons).

That's a good idea. My first thought was that the parts might explode under gas pressure, but after looking into it I see that someone has already designed and tested a 3d printed Autococker bolt. Interesting.

There is the problem of keeping tolerances, though. These parts require .005" in places, with the OD of the bolt and ID of the adapter being stricter than that.

(I wonder if there a general rule for bolt OD tolerances, as well as marker bores, because having to keep .688 for a good fit sounds expensive. Knowing this would help a lot.)

Another potential problem that comes to mind would be the wear and tear test. I'm not sure how hard the material for 3d printing is; namely, how it compares to a delrin or ertalyte bolt.
